Ducks Unlimited Terracing Project
The Ducks Unlimited Terracing Project was performed in 2013 in Galliano, LA. SWS provided vegetative planting services for the prime contractor. A total of 16,225 linear feet of terraces were vegetated with bare root plugs of Spartina alterniflora cv. vermilion. SWS utilized vegetative stock from its nursery in Lake Charles, LA to transplant the required vegetation as per project specifications. A 5 man crew was able to install approximately 9,000 bare root plugs in 3 days at the project site. The project was completed on time and within all contract specifications.
